Pastor Joe Hayman was born in Jackson, Mississippi, and was saved in 1983 at the age of eight. While in high school he felt called to go into full-time ministry. After graduating from Bible College, he came on staff at The King’s Way Baptist Church in June 1998. While on staff, he has served in multiple roles, including high school principal, church bus director, youth pastor, and associate pastor. He became the pastor of the church in March 2014. He and his wife, Christi, have three children: Ben, Clay, and Drew.
Justin Talbert grew up going to The King’s Way Baptist Church and graduated from the King’s Way Christian School. After high school, he attended Bible college where he served in various roles with youth ministry. Justin served as a pastor in California for 2 years before coming to serve as the Youth Pastor at King’s Way in May of 2017. He and his wife Erica are passionate about reaching the next generation for Christ.
JR Nelson utilizes his 16 years of Christian school work to administrate the King’s Way Christian School. He has earned the confidence of his students, school parents, colleagues, and pastor with his exemplary walk with God and sound discernment.
Radio Station Director
Ken Johns was saved in August, 1964. He is married to Sally Ann Dobbins, and they have two children, Rodney and Sandy. Bro. Johns taught in four different Christian schools over a 15-year period. He pastored the Crestwood Baptist Church in Tyrone from 1986 to 1990.
In 1993, he began the radio ministry at King’s Way, known as Word Christian Broadcasting. The ministry began with WDCY 1520 AM in Douglasville, expanded to include WDPC Dallas 1500 AM in 1996, and added WNEA Newnan 1300 AM in 2000. Together, the three stations cover the western half of Atlanta and West Georgia almost to the Alabama line. The ministry is also heard on the Internet at wordchristianbroadcasting.com.
Jeff Andrews was saved in August of 1987. On March 22, 2001, he surrendered to preach. Bro. Andrews has served in various roles at King’s Way Baptist Church including serving as the Assistant Director of Reformers Unanimous for 6 years. He has now been the Reformers Unanimous Director for 8 years and has a passion to help those who are in need. Bro. Andrews has 3 children and has been happily married for over 30 years.
